Always great catching up with old friends and bumping into our Japanese startups we supported in last year’s Beyond Japan Program in Palo Alto.
Awesome to see you again, Matt Helmer after all these years! Matt and Kenny used to work together at Groupon Japan in the early stages of Groupon when they were taking over Asia by storm. They also ended up working in the same Groupon office in Palo Alto on Park Blvd. a few years later. A lot of memories from our Tokyo days and Silicon Valley days. It was exciting to hear about Matt’s latest project and his passion for creating impactful products.
We also bumped into a couple of the startups from our Beyond Japan 2023 Program. It was awesome to chat with Tomofumi Nakata and Tokumasa Yamashita , Co-Founders of Qlay and Takeo Yamada President & CEO of VitaNet, Inc. Sorry we didn’t have a chance to take a picture with you, Takeo San! Hope we can do so next time!
It was also great to see you, Misaki Majima San from 500 Global! We know you were busy running your program and we hope to catch up next time.
